There is something so satisfying about turning plants hot pink. I can’t get enough of it.
In the old days you could shoot with Kodak Aerochrome film to achieve these effects, but as it has been discontinued, it’s nearly impossible to find and use it these days. There are modern day alternatives such as this lens filter, which I’ve never found available in the size I need, or you can edit photos in Adobe Lightroom to look like infrared film. I use Jamie Windsor’s Kodak presets for the Aerochrome effects, which I love!
I shot these images in Oregon’s coastal rainforests and Scotland’s lush countryside and city gardens. But for the sake of wonder let’s imagine they’re from an alternate universe where plants grow pink instead of green.
